Friday Fun: Health Check – Cut the Salt, Add Spices

ground-spicesCut the salt in a recipe by half and most of the time you won’t even notice. Here are some ideas of what to sub in:

  • Herbs or spices
  • Flavored vinegar
  • Citrus juice or peel
  • Mix of garlic, onion, paprika, and parsley flakes
  • Garlic or onion powder works well in meats, soups, and sauces
